Take The Mystery With You: The Room Two Goes Universal For iPhone And iPod touch

The acclaimed 3-D puzzle game The Room Two has just unlocked its much-awaited version for iPhone and iPod touch.
Just yesterday, Fireproof Games announced that it would be releasing the iPhone and iPod touch edition of the sequel to its award-winning debut iOS game, The Room , on Thursday, Jan. 30. But as it turns out, said edition has been made available a day early.
That’s right. The Room Two can now be played on iPhone and iPod touch as well as iPad and iPad mini, for which the game was initially launched last month.
What’s more, The Room Two is now a universal app, as opposed to The Room, which was launched for iPad in September 2012 and later got a separate The Room Pocket edition for iPhone a couple of months later. This means that The Room Two for iPhone comes as a free update to the originally iPad-only The Room Two.

Note, though, that on account of its heavy graphics requirements, The Room Two is compatible only with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, and fifth-generation iPod touch, in addition to iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina display.
Now compatible with iPhone and iPod touch as well as iPad and iPad mini, The Room Two is available in the App Store for $2.99. As mentioned, the app’s new universal version, which also includes some minor bug fixes, comes as a free update for existing players.

The Room Two was hailed by us here on AppAdvice as one of our Top 10 Best Paid iPad Apps Of 2013 and by Apple itself as one of the App Store’s Best of 2013 . For more information on The Room Two, check out our original review of the game here on AppAdvice, which notes that its’ “much deeper and scarier than the first version.
